When to Plan a Bachelorette Party

The bride (and other bridal-party members as well) need a good night’s sleep before the wedding so she can be ready to truly enjoy her special day (and look great for pictures!). Schedule the bachelorette party at least two days before the wedding.

Consider Guests’ Needs

If everyone who will be attending the party lives in Denver, planning the party about a week or two before the wedding is often ideal. This leaves the bride time to focus on last-minute planning for the wedding. If some close friends will be arriving from out of town, try to coordinate with them to make sure they can be included. Try to plan far enough in advance that out-of-town guests can plan around the bachelorette party when they make their travel arrangements.

Destination Bachelorette Parties

Destination parties are becoming increasingly popular. Why not get a few close friends together for a weekend in Las Vegas? Or, for nature lovers, consider renting a condo in a mountain resort. For this sort of bachelorette party, planning further from the wedding is probably more practical. There is no rule that the bachelorette party can’t be held several months before the wedding.
