Weddings on a Budget

Weddings can be expensive, but they don’t have to be. At Stonebrook Manor, we do all we can to keep our costs under control, and we believe we are the best value in weddings around. Many wedding venues in the Denver area charge much more, and often for less, than we charge.

However, there are also some things that you can do to control the costs of your wedding.

Cut the Guest List

Nothing will increase the cost of your wedding like a huge guest list. Every person you invite adds to the cost of food, drinks, and even set up and teardown. Here are some tips for cutting your guest list, if you are having trouble.

Cash Bar

Using a cash bar at your wedding may reduce the wildness of the party, but it will also take a big chunk out of your cost. If you don’t want to go to a cash bar, check out tips for saving money on an open bar.

Save Money on Flowers

The flowers may be one of the most important things to you, but to most of your guests, they’re a lower priority. They are something you can save a lot of money on without sacrificing quality. See saving money on wedding floral arrangements.

Downgrade the Meal

You can also save money by reducing the cost of the meal you provide at the reception. You can go from a plated dinner to a buffet and save a significant amount. You can also move from dinner to lunch, use a sandwich bar, or offer no meal.

Ditch the Band

Unless you’ve got a good friend or family member with a band, a band is likely to be significantly more expensive than a DJ. A DJ doesn’t have the same presence and energy as a live band, but people will still be able to have a great time listening and dancing to the music.
