Summer is the traditional time for weddings, but in Denver fall is a great time to get married, too. There are many good themes that can make a fall wedding especially festive. A harvest theme is natural, and is easily tied together with everything from autumn leaves on the cake to ornamental squash centerpieces. You can easily base menu items and drinks around this theme, too. Rustic themes also work great for this because they seem so natural with the season. And if the bride and groom are teachers, a back-to-school theme can work really well, too. For something a little less common and maybe a lot more fun have a wine-themed wedding. The grape vines make a great decoration, the color is a wonderful shade for fall, and wine makes everything more festive.

Candy apples make a great treat. Use wood invitations or festoon them with seasonal foliage. Pine cones are plentiful, inexpensive, and appropriate decorations for the wedding. Hot drinks like cocoa, cider, or hot toddies make for a pleasant way to transition into the cool evening.
